2nd Vienna Juggling Festival, Winter 2003 |
||||
When? | ||||
Feb 1-4, 2003
(starting Saturday at 10:00 a.m., closing Tuesday at 12:00 a.m.) |
||||
Where? | ||||
Vienna Capital of Austria. The festival will take place in a school building located in Mauer (part of the 23rd district), close to the southern border of Vienna. Address of the festival site: Maurer Schlössl (Rudolf Steiner-Schule Wien-Mauer), Endresstr. 100, 1230 Wien |
||||
How to get there? By airplane/train: |
||||
Vienna is an international flight destination. From
Vienna airport Schwechat catch a bus and leave it
at City Air Terminal which
is close to train and subway station Wien
Mitte/Landstraße. Take subway U4 (direction
Wien Hütteldorf). See below how to proceed
further. If you are coming by train your train most likely will arrive either at Westbahnhof, at Südbahnhof, or at Franz Josefsbahnhof. In the latter case get off one station before, at Spittelau. From Westbahnhof take subway U6 (direction Siebenhirten) and change it at Längenfeldgasse for U4 (direction Wien Hütteldorf). Get off at Hietzing and take tram line 60 (direction Rodaun). Get off at Maurer Hauptplatz. Same route if you are arriving in Spittelau, but you already can take U4 from there. From Südbahnhof catch up a train ("Schnellbahn"), line S1 or S2 (direction Liesing). Change it at Atzgersdorf-Mauer for bus 56B (direction Ursulinenkloster). Get off at Maurer Hauptplatz. Endresstraße is crossing the Maurer Hauptplatz. No. 100 is pretty close. The ride from Spittelau will take about 45 minutes, from the other starting points about 30 minutes. |
||||
By car: | ||||
If possible, get a street map of Vienna first. With the
following description alone you might get lost. If this
happens ask for how to get to Mauer (pronounce
it like "shower" but change "sh" for an
"m"). The main highways to Vienna are the Westautobahn (A1), the Südautobahn (A2) and the Donauuferautobahn (A22-E49-E59). From Westautobahn follow the signs to the center (of Vienna). Follow Hietzinger Kai, turn off to the right at Testarellogasse. Follow Testarellogasse, Schrutkagasse and Spohrstraße. Turn left at Veitingergasse and then right at Lainzer Straße. Drive more or less straight forward through Lainzer Straße, Preyergasse, Hofwiesengasse, Feldkellergasse and Speisinger Straße until you reach Endresstraße. If coming from south change motorways at highway junction Vösendorf (sign Mödling/Shopping City Süd, Exit: 7) and follow the motorway A21. Leave it at the sign Mödling/Ma. Enzersdorf/Südstadt follow B12a and B12 (direction Wien). Turn left at Atzgersdorfer Platz, and follow Levasseurgasse and Kirchenplatz to Endresstraße. If coming from north follow the motorway A22-E49-E59 until Vienna. Change motorways at highway junction Kaisermühlen-Praterbrücke (sign Gänserndorf(B8)/Stadlau(B3)/Ölhafen Lobau) and follow motorway A23 (direction Südautobahn A2). Leave it at exit Anschlussstelle Altmannsdorfer Straße (sign Linz(A1)/Wiental/Altmannsdorf). Follow Altmannsdorfer Straße (B224), turn left at Sagedergasse (after the sign Graz Eisenstadt/Budapest Linz/Mödling Inzersdorf). Turn left again at Breitenfurter Straße (B12), then right at Kirchfeldgasse. Follow Kirchfeldgasse, Wundtgasse, Rosenhügelstraße and Speisinger Straße until you reach Endresstraße. |
