11th Kremser Jongliertreffen

When?

August 27–30, 2009

Where?

Krems an der Donau

Small town in Lower Austria, by the riverside of the Danube, about 60 km west-northwest of Vienna. The festival will take place in a large sports centre: Ausportplatz and Sporthalle Krems.

Registration and Infopoint: Sports ground Ausportplatz, a few minutes walk from the Sporthalle.

How to get there?

By airplane/train:

Please, note: The railway bridge across the Danube at Tulln is temporarily closed.
Currently you can't get from Vienna to Krems by using the railway line Franz Josefsbahn!
Besides of a rail replacement bus service alternative train services are provided (see below).

From Vienna catch up a train either at train station Floridsdorf (in some cases you have to change trains in Stockerau), or, from Westbahnhof (you have to change in St. Pölten). Please, check the timetable of trains for the best connection.

If coming from west (by Westbahn) get off in St. Pölten and change for a train to Krems.
Please, note: On Thursday and Friday, between 7:50 a.m and 4:00 p.m. this railway line is partly (St. Pölten–Herzogenburg) replaced by a bus service!

If coming from the South (by Südbahn), get off in Vienna at station Südbahnhof, take any S-Bahn line from there to Floridsdorf (or S-Bahn line S5 to Stockerau). See above for how to proceed further.

Vienna is an international flight destination. From Vienna International Airport (in Schwechat) there are several transfer possibilities either to the City Air Terminal or to train station Wien Mitte/Landstraße which are both close to subway station Wien Mitte/Landstraße. Take either subway line U3 (direction Ottakring) and get off at Westbahnhof, or, take any S-Bahn line from train station Wien Mitte/Landstraße to Floridsdorf (or S-Bahn line S5 to Stockerau). See above for how to proceed further.

By car:

Take the highway Westautobahn (A1) either from Salzburg or Vienna to St. Pölten, and from there the road S33 to Krems. From Vienna you may alternatively take the road Bundesstraße 3 which you have to leave at the exit Krems-Zentrum.
